This country represents less than 5% of the global population, yet we hold more than 20% of the world’s prisoners, and roughly two thirds of our 2 million inmates are still awaiting trial. This piece was originally sold in a raffle to benefit the Vera Institute of Justice in their mission to end mass incarceration, and 20% of print sales will support the same cause.
